Graduate CV example

A CV for your first job after university or vocational training: the degree comes first, and internships and student jobs show that you have already worked.

Free, with no sign-up: the example opens in the editor as your own draft. You replace the fictional details with your own.

Lena Hoffmann has just completed her bachelor’s degree in business administration and is applying for her first permanent job in marketing. The person, companies and figures are fictional.

Why this CV is built the way it is

  • Education comes before work experience

If you are fresh out of university, that is where your strongest argument lies. Your grade, your specialisation and the subject of your dissertation say more than a part-time job from four years ago.

  • Internships are presented like jobs

With dates, company and results in figures: twelve campaigns, an open rate up from 21 to 27 per cent. It reads like work experience because that is what it is.

  • A profile summary names the goal

Two sentences say what was studied and which role is wanted. With little experience, that puts everything else into context.

  • Volunteering does not fill a gap; it shows something

Serving on the board of a student society is evidence of organisation and responsibility. It comes last and has a single entry.
